In this exclusive session, Laura Jane Boast, founder of Conscious Made®, shares her material-led design approach—where colour, material and finish (CMF) are the foundation of storytelling in print. She’s joined by Mark Fenton, Commercial Manager at Foilco Limited, who will explore the role of foil in sustainable luxury, offering fresh insights into recyclability, tactility, and value.

The PERGRAPHICA® team will share how our papers perform across special finishing processes and how its values—rooted in heritage, innovation, and environmental responsibility—continue to inspire creatives and converters alike.

Laura Jane Boast is a print and packaging design specialist, and founder of Conscious Made – a climate-conscious, material-led studio based in Manchester. She helps brands make intentional, sustainable choices that live across digital and physical touchpoints. Laura creates experiences that spark curiosity, invite engagement, and minimise impact. With a focus on colour, material, and finish (CMF), she uses print innovation to bring brand values to life through thoughtful storytelling and sensory design.

Mark Fention is Commercial Director at Foilco. Over the last decade he has made his goal to bridge the gap between creatives, brands and the production process when it comes to the use of stamping foil, offering the most extensive range of colours, finishes and effects in the industry. Through education, enthusiasm, testing and technical advice, he acts as a support and sounding board in the use of the diverse number of finishes and grades to deliver the optimum results.

Zoë Truchy is a passionate advocate for the power of paper in creative communication. Born into the paper industry and shaped by over 15 years of marketing experience in this sector, she has dedicated her career to championing premium papers and boards for design, publishing, packaging, and stationery.

As Brand Manager for PERGRAPHICA®, Zoë brings a deep understanding of how colour, material, and finish (CMF) influence perception and emotional impact in print. Her work is grounded in customer and market insights, with a particular focus on the psychology behind premium print experiences. At the heart of her approach is a belief that paper is more than a substrate—it’s a storyteller.
