Playing cards is one of Italy’s favourite pastimes. It’s only natural then that during the lockdown in March this year, an agency created a special card game to bring everyone together again.
In March 2020, Boutique Creativa, a Milanese communication and branding agency, was expected to move to its new headquarters in via Quadrio, a stone's throw from Piazza Gae Aulenti.
In the same month the lockdown started, imposing a new
work and life-style.
However, creativity doesn’t stop and neither did the agency’s team.
Waiting to return to a world of meetings and physical relationships, they created a project that reinterpreted the most beloved game of Italians: cards. This is how “Le Quarentine” was born.
Paolo Giorgi, creative direction and founder of Boutique Creativa
Forty cards, four new card suits that replace the classic coins, cups, swords and sticks with new icons, from today linked indissolubly to a moment that will stay printed in everyone’s memory.
The project was sponsored by Pergraphica, so the cards are printed on Pergraphica Classic Smooth, adding unique Pergraphica haptics to a visually already pleasing new design.
