Color Copy goes bridal
A wedding suite on Color Copy style was exactly what this bride ordered.
On a hot and sunny mid-August day, wedding bells were ringing on the outskirts of Vienna, Austria for a very special celebration. An outdoor ceremony nestled next to a pond and big trees, the setting couldn’t have been more perfect — but what makes the wedding extra special for us, is that it was our dear colleague Carmen’s big day. And she kindly invited us to take a peek into this very special moment in her life.
Planting a seed
From her very first campaign working with Color Copy, she fell in love with our unique Color Copy style paper range. “Working on the sample book, I was enveloped into the world of Color Copy, with all swatches at hand,” reflects Carmen.
The sample book allows you to see, touch and feel the papers, compare the different shades and haptics in an easy side-by-side view. Color Copy style is a very elegant
paper, with its warm ivory shade and prestigious smooth feel, making it ideal for celebrating special moments, like baptisms or weddings. When she felt it for the first time, Carmen instantly felt the potential of it; there was no wedding on the cards for her back then, but the seed was planted in her mind.
So when the proposal came a couple of years later, it was a no-brainer.
Paper from start to finish
Take it from us, the possibilities with paper are endless, the only limit is your creativity. Most brides devote entire months to choosing the right dress, our bride devoted her weekends scouring Pinterest for inspiration on what to do with paper. “It was personal for me, because I worked so closely with the brand,” she says.
Everything from the save-the-dates to menus was done with Color Copy style, but that was just the start. She put together “happy tears” tissue boxes, as well as personalised bellybands to wrap around candles, and even tried her hand at paper cuttings, to create hanging designs that became part of the decorations.
In the middle of the ceremony, her bridesmaid welled up with emotion at seeing her best friend getting married, and the groom stopped the ceremony and ran over the side-table to grab a “happy tears” tissue box — safe to say he’s a keeper!
Cards were laid out on the tables for guests to write down their wishes to the couple, and these were later turned into a book, to bind those memories. Looking back, this keepsake was Carmen’s personal highlight. “The day goes by in a blur and this was a great way to capture the little moments, so we can treasure them forever,” reflects the bride.
Elegance is in the details
Every little detail was thought through and Color Copy style proved the perfect companion to transition from the daytime ceremony to the dinner, and eventually the afterparty. From the paper cuttings to the menus, it even made an appearance at the candy bar to label all the sweet treats. It’s a shame we don’t have any of those samples on hand.
