How to choose the right paper for offset printing
Offset printing, an analogue printing technique also called lithographic printing or litho, is the traditional method of using plates to print images and text onto paper. This printing method is favoured by designers due to its extremely high print quality, as well as the choice of special inks and finishing possibilities. Offset printing is also the more cost-effective solution for larger scale print jobs.
The printing technology you opt for will depend on the product you are creating — illustrated or text-heavy, magazines, luxury packaging, stationery, etc. — as will the paper choice. Uncoated papers are a popular choice thanks to their natural look and feel, which is distinctly non-glossy in contrast to coated papers.
Of course, to achieve outstanding results in offset printing it is important to choose the right paper, particularly in the case of full-colour reproduction. The choice of surface texture and strength, grammage, and paper shades all directly influence the result. Our premium uncoated papers have been carefully crafted and extensively tested to guarantee top quality results.
